dcrothers I've had great experiences with Umnitza. Tim is super helpful. My headlights have been great. I switched the turns to LED with a resistor and they look a lot better than the exposed OE style bulb. The ones i got for my E39 are a bit different though, The output is great and they look ok. The cut-off is funky though. It's jagged and my attempts at adjustment have not helped. http://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?2161719-headlight-questions-Need-help&p=28342376#post28342376 | Well, ok I went ahead and pulled the trigger on a pair of Umnitza ProjectorZ II's with the Orion V4 Angel Eyes and some other extra do-dads and what-nots. They were really great on the phone--I've got to give them credit considering the bad rap they got in reviews a while back. I'll report more when I get the lamps, but I won't really know anything until May or so when the snow melts. Not cheap, but they look like the best out there, and nothing but the best will do for my little car. Anyway, even at really expensive, they're still less than OEM, and I want the projectors and halos. I'll be wiring the Angel Eyes in as daylight running lamps with a harness that ties them into the interior lights, so that they fade out with those when the car is shut down. I went with the 35W Xenon bulbs instead of Bixenons, as I hardly ever (if ever) drive at night. Customer service so far is tops, and their people certainly know their BMW's. Thanks Mr. Bingley (not real name). http://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?p=28342086#post28342086 |
